Mi 9 smartphone from Xiaomi gets on the European market starting price of 449 euros
The Mi 9, one of the latest top models from the Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi, will receive a starting price of 449 euros in Europe. For this, users get the variant with 64GB storage memory. There is no release date for the Benelux yet.
For 50 euros more, so 499 euros, users get the Mi 9 with 128GB storage memory. Xiaomi will announce this at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Only Spain, Italy and France have now become aware of the release. The first two countries will receive the device from February 28. In France, pre-orders will start immediately, but a concrete release date has not yet been announced. Xiaomi spoke of the colors ocean blue, lavender violet and piano black for this European release. The transparent version is not mentioned in the presentation.
The Mi 9 runs on a Snapdragon 855, has a 6.39″ OLED screen with a resolution of 2280×1080 pixels and an integrated fingerprint scanner. At the back are three cameras: a main camera of 48 megapixels and an aperture of f/1.75, a 12-megapixel secondary camera that Xiaomi claims enables two times optical zoom and a 16-megapixel camera with a wide-angle lens of 117 degrees.In the rankings of DxOMark, this device has the second highest score in the photo area and the highest in the video area.
Xiaomi claims that the Mi 9 has the fastest wireless charging of all devices on the market thanks to the Charge Turbo function. To enable wireless charging with 20W, the optional Charge Turbo charging pad or a car mount from Xiaomi is required. The manufacturer states that the 3300mAh battery can be fully charged in ninety minutes. Wired that would take about an hour via the supplied 27W charger.
