Metro Exodus on PC now supports Sony’s DualSense controller adaptive triggers. That means that the triggers provide feedback in the form of resistance, simulating the feel of in-game actions, such as the recoil of a firearm.

A short demonstration of the feature was posted on Reddit by user MustafaKorkmaz. Especially with the machine gun, it is clearly visible that the trigger offers a certain ‘recoil’ when firing. The DualSense controller has been supported by PC games before, including touchpad, gyroscope, lightbar and vibrators, but Kotaku says it “looks like this is the first PC game to officially use adaptive triggers.” The update came out on Friday.

Metro Exodus is an FPS game that originally came out in 2019 for the PS4, Xbox One and Windows. The nextgen version of the game will be released on June 18th. In all likelihood, the PS5 version of the game will also include this feature.
