Metro Exodus Enhanced Version Coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X and S June 18
An improved version of the game Metro Exodus will be released on June 18 for the Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X and S. The new version runs in 4k resolution with 60fps and ray tracing. There are also improvements for audio and the controllers.
The improved version also gets the option to adjust the field of view on the new generation of consoles. The game on Xbox also gets improved spatial audio and controller latency is addressed. On the PS5, the game will receive support for the haptic features of the Dual Sense controller. On the Xbox Series S, the game will run in 1080p at 60fps and ray tracing.
Players who already own the game can get a free upgrade. A physical Complete Edition will also be released for the Xbox Series X and S, the Xbox One and the PS5. That full version includes both expansions, Sam’s Story and The Two Colonels, in addition to the base game.
The upgraded version for PC of Metro Exodus was released on May 6. It also has support for more ray tracing effects. As a minimum requirement for that game, developer 4A Games calls an RTX 2060 or RX 6700 XT GPU. That PC version is available in most game stores and is also free for players who already own the game.
