Meta plans to release AI chatbots for Facebook and Instagram next month, according to several people involved. Evidence may also have been found of an AI tool to generate images via Instagram.

According to the Financial Times said that Meta wants to integrate a generative chatbot into its services from next month. According to the sources, these chatbots will have different personalities, including a chatbot that gives travel advice as if it were a surfer and a chatbot that talks like former American president Abraham Lincoln. In June, screenshots also surfaced of what would be an AI chatbot in Instagram.

In addition published the same source recently an image of text that Meta could use as a label of a Meta-AI generated image. For example, it says: “The creator or Meta says this content was created or edited with AI.” Below that it says: “This image was generated by Meta-AI”.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg previously announced that the company will focus heavily on the integration of generative AI, although it was not yet clear in what form and for which services this would be exactly. According to 9to5Mac Zuckerberg said during an earnings call last week: “You can imagine that AI can connect people and help them express themselves in our apps. Creative tools should make it easier and more fun to share content, such as applications that act as assistants or coaches, or who can help interact with companies and creators.”
