Meta rolls out AI tools for customer contact to the business version of WhatsApp

Meta will roll out new AI tools for WhatsApp Business. One of the AI ​​tools creates advertisements for Facebook and Instagram, where customers are immediately redirected to the company's WhatsApp channel when they click.

The advertising tool will first be released in Singapore and the US, reports Meta. In addition to the ad creation feature, the toolset includes a chatbot that can quickly respond to common customer questions. The functions use Meta's Llama model. The chat feature will be available in India, Singapore and Brazil before rolling out to more countries.

The business version of WhatsApp will also have the option to easily call larger companies via the app. Meta is also introducing a trustmark for businesses, which will be visible next to the name in the messaging app. The badge will first be available in Brazil, India, Indonesia and Colombia.
