Messaging service Slack suffers from global outage
Messaging service Slack seems to have a malfunction. It is not known what causes this. Slack says it is investigating the issue and will provide more information as soon as possible.
Slack’s status page shows that the messaging service, which is mainly used by businesses, is struggling with several problems. There are problems with logging in, sending messages and files, and receiving notifications. Reports of the malfunction have been appearing on Downdetector and All faults since about 3 p.m.
It is not yet known what the cause of the malfunction is; Slack isn’t giving any details on that yet. The company only writes that it is investigating an issue “which is causing Slack not to load for some users.” Slack says it will provide more information as it becomes available. The service does not share an expectation when the outage will be resolved.
