Medion introduces fitness wearables and is working on ‘SportsWatch’
Medion has released two fitness wearables, the Life E1000 bracelet and the Life S2000 tracker. In addition, the company is working on a sports watch with a touchscreen, of which only a prototype is currently available.
The Medion Life E1000 is a fitness bracelet with a 0.49″ OLED screen. The battery life is fourteen days. The tracker registers the number of steps taken and gives an indication of the calorie consumption, while the sleep rhythm is monitored at night. The wearable is resistant to dust and moisture based on the IP65 certification.The wearable will be available in November for 29.95 euros.
The Life S2000 is a variant that Medion already presented in June, but will now be officially announced at the start of the IFA fair in Berlin. This bracelet has similar functions as the E1000 but a 0.91″ OLED screen and a heart rate monitor. In addition, the product is resistant to water for longer, according to the IP67 certification. The S2000 will be released in September for 59.95 euros.
The Life SportsWatch S1000 is a sports watch that Medion is still developing, according to Notebookcheck, but already wants to show it to the public. The touch-sensitive 1.3″ screen has a resolution of 240×240 pixels. The SportsWatch has GPS, barometer, thermometer, altimeter and pedometer. In addition, the watch can keep track of the sleep rhythm and can be used in combination with a smartphone to make calls and music.The price and availability are not yet known.
