Medion introduces 5″ smartphone with full-HD screen for 249 euros
Medion announced the X5004 prior to the IFA fair: a smartphone with a 5 “screen that shows a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The dual-SIM device will be available at the end of this year for 249 euros. There will also be a slightly more expensive version with more memory.
The device is equipped with Gorilla Glass to protect the 5 “panel. The Medion X5004 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octacore with a clock speed of 1.5 GHz and is equipped with 2 GB working memory and 16 GB storage memory, while there is also room for micro SD cards For those who want more ram and storage memory, Medion has the X5020, which is equipped with 3GB ram and 32GB storage.The other specifications are the same.
The devices support wifi-ac, lte cat4 and bluetooth 4.0 and they can both be equipped with two SIM cards. They also have a 13-megapixel camera, while the front camera is a 5-megapixel one. The battery capacity is 2600mAh and the smartphones are about 6.9mm thick and weigh 130 grams.
Medion charges 249 euros for the X5004 and the X5020 should hit the shelves for a price of 299 euros. The company will start sales in the fourth quarter and by then the update to Android 5.1 should also be ready for the device. Incidentally, there are existing smartphones with comparable specifications and prices, such as the Archos Diamond 50.
