Medion announces gaming PCs with AMD Ryzen processors
Medion will sell gaming PCs with AMD Ryzen processors. The brand has announced two models with Ryzen 7 CPUs and also comes with three variants with a Ryzen 5 processor. The most expensive model of 1699 euros has a GTX 1070 video card.
The Erazer X7739 D and X7741 D are the models with Ryzen 7 processor. They both get a PCIe SSD with a capacity of 256GB and 16GB DDR4 memory. The more expensive model also has a 2TB HDD, the cheaper version has a 1TB copy. In the X7741 D, Medion puts a GTX 1060 GPU with 3GB gddr5 memory.
The top model is equipped with the AMD Ryzen 7 1800X. That’s the most powerful Ryzen processor, with eight cores and sixteen threads, running at 3.6GHz with a boost to 4GHz. In the cheaper X7741D, Medion stops the Ryzen 7 1700. That too is an octacore with sixteen threads, but the clock speed is lower at 3GHz, as is the boost of 3.7Ghz.
The Medion systems with Ryzen 7 CPUs will be on sale from April. Later there will also be models with Ryzen 5 processors in combination with a GTX 1060, 1050 Ti or 1050. Those Ryzen 5 CPUs were announced by AMD after the top models and the processors will be available from April 11.
