MediaMarkt delivers orders with a delay due to technical failure

MediaMarkt has a technical malfunction in its logistics systems, which means that the company cannot deliver orders on time. Because the company is also moving to a new warehouse, orders are experiencing significant delays.

MediaMarkt warns about the delayed deliveries on its site, after customers complained about slow deliveries and the unavailability of customer service in recent days on social media and for example Trustpilot. For example, customers report that they ordered and paid for products last week that were in stock, but still hadn’t been delivered by Wednesday. They also report long waiting times for customer service.

The electronics chain does not provide details about the nature of the technical failure. However, the company does report that it ‘has a good overview of the bottlenecks’ and that it is catching up. According to MediaMarkt, the outage is also accompanied by crowds due to the MerkenWeek marketing campaign, and the high demand for fans and air conditioners due to the heat. In addition, the company points to a recent move to a new warehouse in Etten-Leur as the cause of problems.

MediaMarkt acknowledges that the telephone waiting time for complaints is too long and customer service responds too slowly via e-mail and social media due to the problems.
