May Update for Xbox Series X and S Improves Quick Resume Feature

Microsoft will release an update for the Xbox Series X and S in May with improvements to the Quick Resume feature. The manufacturer promises ‘higher reliability’ and faster loading times. It is also easier to see which games support Quick Resume.

It is not known what performance gains users can expect and whether this applies to all Quick Resume games. Microsoft mentions that in the announcement the May update for the Xbox Series X and S specifically that it will ensure faster loading times.

A tag now shows whether certain games support the Quick Resume function. The Xbox interface on the new consoles will also receive a new group in which games are collected that are currently in memory and can therefore be resumed via Quick Resume.

Users can add that group to their dashboard to quickly get an overview of the games that are still open in the memory. In April, Microsoft already started a test with these improvements for a select number of users.
