Max ICT takes over MyCom and puts shop content on the window

ICT webshop Max ICT has taken over MyCom, the Tilburg company announced. Max ICT is taking over for its online sales and is offering the store contents of the MyCom stores for further takeover.

Max ICT calls the acquisition of MyCom ‘a logical step’ and the company considers itself ‘the right party to honor the rich history of MyCom in the online world’. The company makes it clear that a new start for the fourteen physical MyCom stores closed in January will not be possible under the banner of Max ICT.

The Tilburg company offers the store contents of those stores to interested parties. Max ICT cites the reason that it mainly sells online and has only one physical store. An amount for the takeover is not known and it is also not clear whether and, if so, how many personnel have been taken over.

The company behind MyCom filed for bankruptcy at the end of January, after seven stores were closed early that month and later in January. Max ICT sells ICT equipment to consumers and the business market.
