Manufacturers Announce AMD Radeon VII Cards
Following the announcement of the AMD Radeon VII, several manufacturers have announced their first video cards of that generation. In all cases, these are cards based on AMD’s reference.
MSI, Gigabyte and ASRock have announced their versions of the AMD Radeon VII video card. MSI and Gigabyte simply stick to Radeon VII in terms of name, while ASRock sticks the name Phantom Gaming X on its card.
In addition, XFX and PowerColor have shown their cards, also without a spectacular name. All cards have the design of the AMD reference card, with three fans. The specifications are also identical. The default clock speed is 1400MHz, combined with a boost clock of 1750MHz. The Radeon VII has 16GB of HBM2 video memory.
In the review published on Thursday, it appeared that the 7nm card with Vega 20 GPU comes pretty close to Nvidia’s RTX 2080. However, there are questions about availability. The card would only be available for a very limited time.
