A manufacturer has been the first to show a Windows Phone based on a reference design from chipmaker Qualcomm. The device has an aluminum housing and a full-HD screen with a diagonal of 6.45 “.

It is still unknown whether the device will ever appear on the market. The manufacturer Wistron is a so-called ODM and therefore makes devices that other manufacturers can release under their own name. Wistron will not let go of whether his smartphone is in demand at one or more smartphone makers.

The Wistron Tiger is based on a design by Qualcomm and has an aluminum housing, writes Mobile Geeks. The device runs on a Snapdragon 800-soc to control the full-HD screen. It would be an IPS display. The Wistron Tiger has onscreen buttons, just like the Nokia Lumia 630.

With a 6.45″ screen, it seems to be the same or almost the same screen as Sony used in its Xperia Z Ultra last year. The largest Windows Phones so far are the Lumia 1520 and 1320 from Nokia with 6″ screen.
