Manufacturer provides micro-SD memory card with 512GB storage space
Integral Memory has introduced a micro-SDXC memory card with a storage capacity of 512GB. According to the manufacturer from the United Kingdom, it is the first half-terabyte micro SD card to be released.
The micro-SD card has a maximum read speed of 80MB/s and complies with the UHS-I U1 standard. The manufacturer does not state the exact write speed; the designation U1 stands for a minimum write speed of 10MB/s.
UHS-I means that there is not two, but one row of connectors on the card, so that the maximum speeds are not as high as those of SD cards with a UHS-II standard. Until now, the maximum storage capacity of micro-SD cards was 400GB.
The ticket will go on sale in the UK from February for an undisclosed price. The manufacturer says that the performance of the memory card has been tested on a number of smartphones. The memory card is probably recognized in most devices that support SDXC memory.
