The original device manufacturer Compal has shown the design of the FullVision. This is a laptop with a screen that slides to the side, so that space is freed up for a second screen, in the form of a tablet.

The FullVision is a combination of a laptop with a 15.6″ screen and a separate tablet with a screen with almost the same size and thin screen edges. The user can slide the laptop screen to the side and place the tablet directly next to this screen, for a dual-screen display.

The combination doubles the user’s field of vision in Compal’s words from “15.6” to 29″ and the aspect ratio from 16:9 to 32:9″. The manufacturer wants to make the product available in 2020, but otherwise there are few details that are on the IF World Design Guide Award page. Pages for these design awards are more likely to bring tech products to the public eye early on. As an ODM, Compal does not market products itself, but makes them for laptop manufacturers who market the systems under their own name.
