After being banned in India, the makers of the popular shooter PUBG Mobile seem to be releasing their app, rumors have it. Among other things, work would be done on a new host for the game data.

That is the opinion of two unnamed sources against TechCrunch. PUBG Corporation, makers of the popular shooter, are looking at contracting cloud companies that can store users’ data within India. They would no longer have to use the services of the Chinese Tencent.

PUBG Corporation could announce all its plans next week, according to TechCrunch, but so far the company has not officially released anything. TechCrunch’s sources state that some well-known gamers have already heard from the company that PUBG Mobile will be back in India before the end of the year.

The mobile version of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds was popular in India, with about 50 million downloads. The game was banned by the Indian government in September, along with about a hundred other Chinese apps. According to the government, the apps were a threat to state security after India got into a conflict with China.
