Mafia: Definitive Edition has been delayed by a month. The game was supposed to be released on August 28, but that has been pushed back to September 25. According to the developers, the postponement is due to the corona crisis. On July 22, the creators will show gameplay of the game.

The team is unable to complete everything in time to meet the aforementioned release date, reports the Mafia account on Twitter. The developers blame this on the ongoing corona pandemic. The Mafia remake was announced in May. The game will not only get graphical improvements, but also new content and new gameplay possibilities. The original appeared in 2002.

Developer Hangar 13 and publisher 2K Games have already shown a short trailer, but more gameplay of Mafia: Definitive Edition will be revealed on July 22. The makers promise to give an extensive look at the game.

2K Games has also re-released Mafia II and III. That already happened with the announcement of the Mafia remake in May. Mafia II has been graphically refreshed and released for the first time on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. This is a remaster, not a remake. Mafia III was already available on consoles, but the new version is bundled with all the DLC.
