Lucky people play Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on a baseball stadium screen
Like that LG roll-up TV, another ‘probably not eligible’ post: Mario Karten on the huge screen of a baseball stadium. Still, friends of the Kansas City Royals were able to do just that this week.
According to The Kansas City Royals went it’s a charity event. The management of the Royals wants to raise more attention for Royals Charities, a foundation that mainly donates money to goals in the context of education and care for underprivileged children and children with disabilities. According to the Royals Charities, a chance to game in the stadium again may go up for sale again this year.
The screen, which serves, among other things, as a scoreboard, is 25 meters wide and 32 meters high. At the time of installation in 2008, it was the largest HD LED display in the world. The dimensions are a bit crazy, but the screen is first and foremost a scoreboard. The resolution is 1440 by 1800 pixels. A photo shows that the image of Mario Kart is compressed to make it fit.
The men and women played Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on a Nintendo Switch. To make the envy just that little bit bigger: the players were sitting in the skybox of the stadium during the game.
