Logitech shows Folio Touch keyboard cover with trackpad for 11 “iPad Pros
Logitech has shown the Folio Touch, a keyboard cover with a built-in trackpad that works with the two 11 “iPad Pro models. The cover comes with an adjustable kickstand and users can fold the keyboard backwards.
The keyboard of the Folio Touch has a backlight that automatically adjusts to the light of the room the device is in. Above the regular keys are shortcut keys compatible with iPadOS, which allow users to navigate to the iPad home screen, for example, or adjust the screen brightness or volume. The connection to the iPad is via the Smart Connector of the tablet, which also supplies the keyboard with power.
The Folio Touch has four modes, according to Logitech, namely typing, looking at something, sketching and reading. The kickstand is adjustable up to 40 degrees. When users don’t need the keyboard, they can fold it back and place it under the kickstand. The case protects the screen, the back and the corners of the iPad Pro, according to Logitech. Pictures show that in addition three of the four sides are protected; there is only a large recess at the top.
Logitech uses that recess as a storage place for the Logitech Crayon or the second-generation Apple Pencil. The case also uses a ‘strong’ magnetic closure to keep the cover closed during transport. Finally, the trackpad supports multi-finger gestures.
The Folio Touch is compatible with the first and second generation 11 “-iPad Pro models and has an American suggested retail price of 170 euros including VAT.
