Logitech releases wireless G604 mouse for gamers for 100 euros
Logitech comes with a new wireless gaming mouse, the G604 Lightspeed. The mouse uses a single AA battery and lasts for 240 hours. The G604 will be released in the fall and has a suggested retail price of 100 euros.
The G604 includes Logitech’s Hero 16k sensor. This sensor has a resolution of 16,000 dpi and can register movements at a speed of ten meters per second. Logitech previously released the G502 Hero with this sensor.
The G604 appears to be based on the Logitech G602 from 2013. The G604, like the G602, contains six programmable buttons on the left side. The G604 can be connected via Logitech Lightspeed technology and bluetooth. This means that the mouse can also be used without a Lightspeed adapter and the mouse can be connected to several PCs at the same time. Switching between Lightspeed and bluetooth is done via a button on the top of the mouse.
Via Lightspeed you can play up to 240 hours non-stop with a single AA battery. For use via bluetooth, Logitech mentions a battery life of up to 5.5 months, but that is with unspecified ‘standard use’. The G604 doesn’t include lighting, which will likely help with the device’s battery life. The mouse weighs about 135 grams including battery. The G604 will be released in the fall. An exact release date has not yet been announced.
