Logitech releases two G Pro gaming headsets
Logitech has released two new gaming headsets under its Logitech G brand name. The top model G Pro X distinguishes itself from the G Pro mainly by the Blue Vo!ce software from microphone manufacturer Blue.
Blue Vo!ce lets the user choose from several real-time voice filters, according to Logitech. For example, there are profiles that reduce the amount of noise, add compression or make the user’s voice sound clearer. The Blue Vo!ce settings also include some pro-grade effects, such as a de-esser and de-popper, and are integrated into Logitech’s own G Hub gaming software. Another extra of the G Pro X is DTS Headphone:X 2.0, with which the headphones try to mimic the 3D environment of the original recording.
The G Pro and G Pro X headphones feature the same 50mm audio driver that recently debuted in the Logitech G935. The headsets are made of aluminum and steel, fitted with soft ear cushions and fitted with a headband wrapped in synthetic leather. Also included in the package are an external USB sound card and Y-splitter to separate microphone and headphones. With the G Pro X, the accessory manufacturer provides a second set of ear cushions covered with velour, as well as an extra cable for connection to a mobile device.
The two new game headsets will be released at the end of July. The Logitech G Pro X has a suggested retail price of 129 euros, the G Pro changes hands for 100 euros.
