Logitech partially changes name to ‘Logi’
Logitech is renaming some of its products to “Logi.” This includes tablet accessories. For the time being, the name of the company itself will remain Logitech, although the company does not rule out that that will change.
The company argues that technology has now become so integrated into society that the distinction ‘tech’ is no longer necessary. The company says that it primarily wants to radiate that it is a ‘design company’, rather than a technology company. In addition, tablet accessories will be renamed to Logi, Hardware.info knows. According to that website, peripherals that are not intended for gaming will probably also be renamed.
At the same time, a large part of the range will continue to bear the Logitech name. This includes UE Boom audio equipment and game products in the G product range. The company name itself will also remain Logitech for the time being. It is not yet certain whether this will change in the long term. In any case, the company does not rule that out: it says to The Verge that it remains to be seen whether this will happen in the next two to three years.
