Logitech Announces MX Master 3 Mouse and MX Keys Keyboard
Logitech will release a new mouse and keyboard in the MX series later this month. The main asset of the MX Master 3 is the MagSpeed Scroll Wheel, which would enable both very fast and quiet scrolling. The MX Keys keyboard includes smart lighting.
The MX Master 3 Advanced Wireless Mouse houses the “fastest and quietest” scroll wheel from the Swiss manufacturer to date, according to Logitech. The newly developed scroll wheel is driven by electromagnets and would therefore be virtually silent. The wireless mouse has a sensor with a sensitivity of up to 4000dpi and according to Logitech can be used on any surface, including glass. Also worth mentioning is the rechargeable battery, which lasts up to seventy days.
Simultaneously with the MX Master 3, the accessory manufacturer introduces the MX Keys Advanced Wireless Keyboard. This wireless keyboard features smart backlighting; a sensor detects the user’s hands and takes into account the lighting in the room for the light intensity. When the keyboard is not in use, the keyboard backlight turns off automatically to conserve battery power.
The Logitech MX Master 3 and MX Keys are both compatible with Windows, macOS and the most popular Linux distributions. They are also compatible with Logitech Flow, a technology that allows the user to control up to three computers simultaneously. For example, Flow makes it possible to copy and paste images and documents between the different computers.
The new products are expected to hit the market in September. Mouse and keyboard each have a suggested retail price of 109 euros. Hardware.info publishes a review of the Logitech MX Master 3.
