Lionsgate shows interest in triple A video game adaptation of John Wick action movie

Film distributor Lionsgate may want to participate in a video game adaptation of the John Wick films. Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer would have said that in talks with investors, entertainment website IndieWire claims.

Feltheimer is said to have said that Lionsgate has had several proposals for a John Wick game, but that nothing is set yet. “I don’t want to get ahead of things here, but we think a great AAA game can be made based on John Wick,” Feltheimer said during the conversation. according to IndieWire’s report. “We have received proposals and we are certainly interested, but at the moment I don’t want to say more about that.”

A John Wick game has been released before, called John Wick Hex. It is a strategy game developed by Bithell Games and released in 2019 for Windows and macOS. Ports of the game later appeared for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The player takes on the role of John Wick, although in the game it is a story that is further apart from the films about the assassin. As players progress through the game, more options for weapons, suits and locations will be unlocked.
