LinkedIn is cutting 668 jobs, more than three percent of LinkedIn’s total job base. The platform aims to ‘streamline’ internal decision-making. In May, the company already cut 716 jobs, partly because turnover growth was lower.

The job losses are included the engineering, product and talent departments, and finance teams. The company doesn’t provide much explanation as to why the jobs are being cut, but Reuters notes that the company had a turnover growth of 5 percent in the past quarter, while this was 10 percent in the previous quarter. In May the company said that declining sales growth was a reason for hundreds of jobs to be cut. The company also said that it wanted to ensure faster decision-making by cutting jobs.
