LineageOS adds support for more than five-year-old LG V30
Customrom LineageOS will receive support for the more than five-year-old LG V30. It’s the first new LG phone to receive official support in more than six years. LG hasn’t been making new phones for some time now.

The downloads of LineageOS for the V30 are not yet available, but the support can already be seen in a commit. That happens with the code names H932 and Joan, the information says. This is LineageOS 20 based on Android 13. This gives the phone a much newer Android version than LG officially supports. The phone came out with Android 7.1 and got upgrades to Android 9.
LineageOS adds phones more often, but it’s rare for a model of this age. The V30 is from the fall of 2017. Moreover, LG has not been making new devices for a few years. The company decided to exit the smartphone market two years ago. It is unknown how many copies of the V30 are in circulation.
