Life is Strange: Arcadia Bay Edition releases September 27 for Nintendo Switch. The bundle contains the remastered versions of Life is Strange and its prequel Life is Strange: Before the Storm.

The bundle combines all chapters from 2015’s Life is Strange and 2017’s Life is Strange: Before the Storm. For the remaster, all characters have been overhauled and developer Dontnod has re-recorded characters’ movements, lipsync, and facial animations.

The bundle was announced last year and the release of the Switch version has since been delayed twice. It was first supposed to be released in September 2021, but it was canceled due to the consequences of the corona pandemic. After that, the remasters would be released on February 1, 2022. The versions for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and Google Stadia did come out on that date, but the release of the Switch version was moved again. That was because more time was needed to work on that version, said publisher Square Enix at the time.

It is not known whether there are also plans to release a Switch version of Life is Strange 2. That game was released on September 27, 2018 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Windows, macOS and Linux. Life is Strange: True Colors, the latest game in the series, was released for the Switch on December 7, 2021.
