Lian Li releases ‘3-in-1 housing’ Odyssey X for 460 euros
Lian Li is going to launch his Odyssey X case. The housing can be used in three different ways, including by rotating it. The cabinet has a suggested retail price of 459.90 euros and will be delivered in August.
Lian Li previously showed the Odyssey X as a concept at trade fairs, but is now actually going to market the housing. It is a modular big tower that can be used in three configurations. The standard mode is the so-called Dynamic Mode, in which the housing can accommodate up to two 360mm radiators.
The motherboard tray can be rotated, which provides better GPU cooling, according to Lian Li. The manufacturer calls this the Dynamic-R Mode, where the R stands for Rotate. The third mode is Performance mode, in which the cabinet is tilted 90 degrees and the side panels are opened slightly. In this position there is the most airflow and space for up to a 480mm radiator.
On the inside there is space for power supplies up to 280mm long and the video card can be 423mm long. CPU coolers with a height of up to 170 mm fit in the housing and there is support for all common motherboard sizes, up to EEB and E-ATX.
The housing has side panels of 4mm thick tempered glass and the housing is made of sandblasted anodized aluminum. The appearance of the front can be customized as the two front panels can be mounted in two ways. Lian Li sells the housing in black and silver.
