LG will soon release a 163-inch diagonal micro-LED television. Like the modular LED screen that LG installed in a Taiwanese cinema in June, this 4k television will be formed by assembling smaller modules.

This television intended for commercial use consists of several modules; these LSAB009 modules have a resolution of 640×360. The pixel pitch of the screen is 0.9 mm, while that is 3.3 mm with the LED screen that was placed in a Taiwanese cinema.

According to the specifications mentioned by LG, the television will reach a peak brightness of 1200cd / m², while the regular brightness will be 600cd / m². The contrast ratio would be 50,000: 1 with a peak of 100,000: 1.

LG has not yet published pricing information on this commercial display. The television will be released soon on its own site. The website Microled-info mentions August 17 as a date.

At 163 “, this LG television is bigger than The Wall, a modular Samsung micro LED television with a diagonal of 146”. This television is also aimed at companies, but Samsung already showed four microled TVs for home use at the beginning of this year, which were televisions with sizes of 75, 88, 93 and 110 inches. Contrary to previous statements from Samsung, it seems that those televisions will no longer be released this year; reports of low yields make it more likely that these consumer micro-televisions will not appear until next year.
