LG will present OLED TV that rolls out from top to bottom next week
LG is going to show a rollable OLED TV that rolls out from top to bottom at the CES fair. The model that LG showed at the same fair last year rolled out from bottom to top. It is again a 65″ panel.
What the new rollable TV will look like is not yet known. According to Engadget, LG will present the screen at CES. It is an OLED TV with a 4k resolution that ‘can be pulled down and rolled up when not in use’.
LG showed its OLED TV R9 65 in January last year. At the time, the manufacturer promised to release that rollable TV that same year, but that did not happen. It is not known whether and when that version of the rollable OLED TV will still be on the market.
LG will also introduce an 88-inch OLED TV with an ‘11.2 audio system’ at CES. There will also be a new 77-inch model in the Wallpaper series. The company will also show a number of screens intended for use in aircraft, including a 55″ transparent OLED screen that can serve as a partition between compartments.
LG Display indicated last year that it would start making panels for 48″ OLED TVs in 2020. It is not yet known whether an OLED TV of that size can be seen at CES. manufacturer nothing about that.
