LG has announced the Q8 in its home country of South Korea: a smartphone with a 6.2 “screen that has a stylus that can take place in the device. The midrange smartphone has a single camera on the back, with wide-angle lens.
LG has equipped the Q8 with a Snapdragon 450 octacore processor. The 6.2 “screen has a resolution of 2160×1080 pixels. The device has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage memory, which can be expanded with a microSD card.
The single camera on the back is a sixteenmegepixel variant, with LG’s ‘Phase Detection Autofocus’ and LED flash. The front camera has a resolution of 5 megapixels. There is also a battery with a capacity of 3300mAh, which can be quickly charged via Quick Charge 3.0 and the USB-C port.
The device meets the requirements for an IP68 certification for water and dust resistance and there is support for FM radio. LG has announced the Q8 for the Korean market with a suggested retail price of 539,000 Korean won, converted about 415 euros. Last year LG did bring a Q8 to the European market. That was a small variant of the V20.
