LG will release the G8X ThinQ in the Benelux before the end of the year. It is the first phone from the manufacturer to be compatible with a case with a second screen that comes out here. Such a case also exists for the V50 ThinQ, but it did not come out here.

The case has two screens. The display on the outside is a monochrome screen with a diagonal of 2.1″, while on the inside there is a screen that is identical to the phone. That is a 14.7×6.8cm OLED screen with a surface of 100 square centimeters and a 6.4″ diagonal. Thanks to the resolution of 2340×1080 pixels, the screen ratio is 19.5:9. The screen on the case also has the same teardrop notch for symmetry, while there is no camera behind it.

The phone has the same screen and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855-soc with 6GB of memory and 128GB of storage, both of unknown type. The phone measures 15.9 x 7.6 cm, according to the specs. For input and output, the device has a USB-C port with HDMI-out for the second screen. There is also a 3.5mm jack and HiFi dac for listening to audio.

The cameras on the back are a regular 12-megapixel wide-angle camera with a sensor that has 1.4 micron pixels. In addition, there is a camera with an ultra-wide angle lens with an angle of view of 136 degrees and a resolution of thirteen megapixels. LG has not disclosed a price for the G8X ThinQ or the case. The phone should appear in the Benelux before the end of the year.
