LG releases G Pad tablet in more sizes

LG comes with three new tablets in the G Pad series. The three tablets will come in sizes of 7, 8 and 10.1 inches. The original G Pad had a screen diagonal of 8.3 inches. Apart from the screen sizes, nothing is known about the price or specifications of the tablets.

The tablets will be officially announced later this week at the MedPI trade show in Monaco, LG . has announced announced. The specs will likely be revealed there; at the moment it is only known that the tablets will have sizes of 7, 8 and 10.1 inches. In addition, it is likely that the tablets run on Android, although LG has not announced that in so many words.

LG does indicate that the tablets will receive two tools that it has been delivering on its smartphones for some time. This includes functionality that lets users synchronize notifications between multiple devices, so that, for example, they receive a notification on their tablet when an SMS arrives on their smartphone. In addition, LG provides a tool with which owners can unlock their tablet by ‘beating’ a pattern, regardless of where on the screen that happens.

The original G Pad comes with an IPS screen of 8.3 inches and a resolution of 1920 by 1200 pixels. The device, which is sold for about 250 euros, has a quad-core Snapdragon 600-soc from Qualcomm on board and 2GB of internal memory. Storage is on flash memory with a capacity of 16GB.
