LG releases floating portable speaker
LG has unveiled the PJ9, a portable speaker that can float on a holder. As soon as the battery of the small speaker runs out, it automatically drops into the holder of his Levitation Station for wireless charging.
The speaker is bundled with a Levitation Station. When returning home, the user can place the speaker in the holder, where it floats thanks to electromagnets. A subwoofer is incorporated in the Levitation Station and the holder also serves as a charger for the speaker. If the speaker drops to charge at a low battery capacity, the music doesn’t stop there.
The PJ9 is a small omnidirectional speaker that is water resistant according to the ipx7 rating, which means that it can withstand rain and snow and submersion in water up to 1 meter. With its battery, the speaker can last ten hours, according to LG, and the accessory can connect to two Bluetooth devices at the same time. More details, such as the price and release date, will be announced by LG during the CES fair, which will take place in Las Vegas at the beginning of January.
