LG releases an update for OLED TVs in the Benelux that solves RTX 3080 problems
LG has released the update with firmware version number 03.11.25 for OLED televisions in the Netherlands and Belgium and it should solve the compatibility problems in combination with the RTX 30 cards.
The firmware version 03.11.25 was made available through the various support sites for the respective OLED TVs last week, the only mention being that it fixes the compatibility issues with the RTX 30 cards. The firmware version is available for LG OLED models in the table below.
In September, it appeared that owners of an OLED TV from LG and an RTX 3080 had to deal with various problems . For example, users suffered from a black image at 120Hz output in combination with the G-Sync Compatible function on the RTX 3080 video card. In addition, users of this year’s OLED TVs had problems getting 4k images at 120Hz with 4: 4: 4 display without compression.
At the end of September , LG released an update to fix the problems, but it did not appear on European sites yet. Firmware version 03.11.26 was released at the beginning of October, but according to the release notes , it only fixed problems with the video playback in the browser. Incidentally, that update has since disappeared from the LG website.
