LG has sent a save the date for the presentation of a new smartphone on August 31. The large V in the picture indicates that it is most likely the new device in the V series, the V30.

The image also shows the location of the presentation, which is the German capital Berlin. The presentation therefore coincides with the day of the press conferences prior to the IFA electronics fair, which will take place in Berlin at the beginning of September. Many manufacturers seize that day to show new products.

The teaser already seems to contain some information. Besides the fact that an extended screen appears visible as on the G6 and Q6, the image is exactly in a 2:1 ratio, just like the extended screens of those smartphones. The frequent use of black often refers to OLED screens and LG said it will release a device with an OLED screen earlier this year. In addition to the V30, this may also include the alleged Pixel XL 2. It would also have an extended OLED screen made by LG.

There have been rumors about the V30 for months. For example, the phone would have a dual camera in addition to an extended OLED screen on the back. The V10 and V20 were previously released in the V-series. They distinguished themselves with a second screen on the front and advanced manual functions for recording video and audio.
