LG presents new robots for hotels and shops
LG has shown three new robots for use in hotels and shops. With the introduction of the new models in the CLOi line of robots, the South Korean company aims to expand its skills in the field of artificial intelligence.
LG does not disclose the specs of the robots and only tells what they are for. The Serving Robot acts as a waiter in hotels and restaurants, while there is also a Porter Robot, who can take luggage to the room in hotels. In addition, there is a Shopping Cart Robot, which serves as a shopping list and scanner in supermarkets.
All three robots are part of the CLOi line of robots, in which several models previously appeared that, among other things, keep an airport in the South Korean capital Seoul clean and show people the way. The robots all have a screen and a speaker for output. LG presented its first robots at CES electronics fair last year. In the coming years, the manufacturer wants to develop more and more robots that can take over daily tasks thanks to cameras, sensors and software.
