LG presents double-sided OLED screen for stores
LG has presented various double-sided OLED screens for business use in the United States. The screens can be linked together in pairs, three or four to create a larger image. There are curved and flat variants.
The screens can show exactly the same on both sides with the push of a button on the remote control, claims the manufacturer. With a built-in unnamed soc and internal storage, there is no need to connect a PC or media player to display 4k images.
Both the curved and the flat versions are upright screens. The curved version has a diagonal of 65″ and a 4k resolution, while the flat one has 1920×1080 pixels at 55″. LG has already shown the technology at trade shows, but now says for the first time that it is releasing products for the business market. They are also the first available double-sided OLED screens from LG.
Prices and availability of the screens are not yet known. LG shows the TVs at the Digital Signage Expo 2016 in Las Vegas, USA. LG has been making OLED screens for consumer TVs for several years now.
