LG has presented a 4k monitor in Japan that can show the image of four devices at the same time. For this, the monitor has four HDMI ports, three USB ports and a DisplayPort connection on board.

The monitor has a diagonal of 42.5″ and users can therefore divide it into four equal surfaces of 21.5″ each with a resolution of full HD, according to the message that LG has put online in Japan. The monitor has two HDMI 2.0 ports, two HDMI 1.4 ports, a USB-C port that can act as a DisplayPort, a separate DisplayPort connection and two USB 3.0 inputs.

In addition, the monitor supports Freesync and can display images at 60Hz. LG claims that the image has a maximum brightness of 350cd/m2 and a contrast of 1000:1. It is an LCD with a gray-to-gray response time of 8ms.

According to LG, the monitor will be released in Japan on May 19 for 83,000 yen, which is currently about 679 euros. It is not yet known whether the LG 43UD79-B will also be launched in the Benelux and if so, when and at what price.
