LG launches G Pad II tablet with 10.1″ screen and Snapdragon 800-soc
LG has announced the G Pad II 10.1, a major tablet in its G Pad series. The manufacturer shows the tablet for the first time at the IFA electronics fair, which will be held in Berlin in a week and a half. The tablet runs on a two-year-old Snapdragon 800-soc from Qualcomm.
The Snapdragon 800 is a soc that LG itself has been using since the fall of 2013 in the G2 and Nexus 5 smartphones, among others. Since then, LG has been using the Snapdragon 801.805. 808 and 810 in various devices, but LG nevertheless reverts to this soc for this tablet. The manufacturer links the soc to a 2GB RAM.
The screen is an LCD with a diagonal of 10.1″ and a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels, while the housing measures around 25.4×16.1 cm. The tablet has a thickness of 7.8 mm and a weight of 589 grams, while the battery has a size of 7400mAh.
The G Pad II 10.1 is a larger variant of the previously released 8 “tablet. When it will be released in the Benelux and what it will cost is still unknown.
