LG introduces gram laptops with 16:10 screens

LG has introduced five new ‘gram’ laptops for 2021. These are models that all have screens with a 16:10 ratio. Like the models from previous years, the new gram laptops are relatively light and thin.

The five new models are the LG gram 17, gram 16, gram 14, gram 16 2-in-1 and gram 14 2-in-1. The numbers represent the screen diagonals and it therefore concerns three regular laptops and two 2-in-1 laptops. They are all equipped with Intel Core processors of the eleventh generation, although LG does not make it clear which CPUs are involved. The graphics computing power comes from an Iris Xe or UHD Graphics GPU.

The models with a 16″ or 17″ screen have a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels and in all cases these are IPS panels and screens with a 16:10 ratio. The latter makes working more efficient, according to LG. The manufacturer has also enlarged the keyboard and touchpad compared to previous models.

The 2-in-1 laptops feature Corning Gorilla Glass 6 and the regular laptop models are capable of displaying 99 percent of the DCI-P3 color space. All laptops are equipped with a fingerprint scanner and support Wi-Fi 6. LG has not disclosed exact prices or release dates.
