LG introduces G Stylo with stylus and 5.7″ screen
LG releases the G Stylo, the successor to the LG G3 Stylus. The device has a 5.7″ screen with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 410 with a clock speed of 1.2GHz and support for 64bit processing.
The new smartphone has an 8-megapixel camera, while the predecessor had a 13-megapixel camera. On the other hand, the front camera has been improved from 1.3 megapixels to 5. The most striking part of the G Stylo is the stylus that can be tucked away in the side of the phone. The stylus itself has a tip of rubber-like material that makes writing easier, according to LG. LG calls this the ‘Rubber Thumb’ and the operation is capacitive.
Less noticeable is the internal storage of 8GB and the 1.5GB ram, the latter being an improvement of 0.5GB compared to the G3 Stylus. The battery capacity remains the same at 3000mAh. The screen itself and the touch-sensitive parts of the phone are fully integrated, making the touchscreen slightly thinner and more sensitive, according to the South Korean company.
The big phone runs on Android 5.0 with LG’s own LG UX interface layer that was previously announced for the LG G4. Taking selfies should be easier with gesture shot and with glance view information should be faster to go through. For the stylus, the Q Memo Plus widget got an update.
It seems that the G Stylo will be available from May 5, but whether the phone will also be released in Europe and what it will cost is still unclear.
