LG announces G Pad III with 10.1″ IPS screen

LG has announced a new tablet in its G Pad series with the G Pad III 10.1. The manufacturer introduces the model in South Korea. The tablet has a 10.1″ screen and runs on Android with version 6.0.1.

The tablet also has an IPS panel with a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels. The device is equipped with a kickstand, so that it can also stand upright with a maximum angle of 70 degrees. The dimensions of the tablet are 256.2×167.9×6.7mm and the weight is just over half a kilo.

The device is also equipped with an unknown octacore processor with a clock speed of 1.5GHz. The amount of RAM is 2GB, in addition to a storage amount of 32GB. It can be expanded up to a maximum size of 2TB with a micro SD card. The connection options consist of bluetooth 4.2, wifi-ac and a connection for usb-c.

In addition, the G Pad III variant offers support for 4g. The battery is a 6000mAh one and in terms of cameras, the tablet has a five-megapixel model on both the front and the back. LG mentions a price of 429.000 South Korean won, which amounts to about 346 euros. In May, the manufacturer already came up with an 8 “model in the same series with a smaller screen and a smaller battery. It is not known whether and when the tablet will be released in the Benelux.
