LG and Google smartwatch gets a 1.65-inch screen with 280×280 pixels
The smartwatch that LG and Google are rumored to be working on would have a 1.65″ screen with a resolution of 280×280 pixels. This makes it seem to be a square design. Which processor will be used, has yet to be decided.
Which stilt professional @Evleaks via his Twitter account. Given the resolution of 280×280 pixels, the 1.65″ screen is probably square, just like the Galaxy Gear from Samsung. It would be an LCD of the IPS type. The telecominsider also claims that there is 512MB of ram and 4GB of storage space. Strikingly enough, no choice has yet been made for the processor used.
Earlier there were rumors that LG and Google are collaborating to bring a smartwatch to the market, after both companies already worked together on Nexus smartphones. Specifications have not yet been mentioned, but rumors have already indicated that Google will probably announce the product in June during its I/O conference.
Despite the various rumors, little is known about the functionality that the smartwatch will offer, although the search and information service Now would play a major role. Google is reportedly working on a variant of Android that should be suitable for wearables, but it is still unclear exactly what this software will look like. The OS for wearables is expected to be presented soon.
