Lenovo Z6 Pro smartphone has again notch and four cameras on the back

Lenovo has announced its Z6 Pro smartphone in China. The new top model from the manufacturer has a 6.4 “OLED screen with a drop-shaped notch. There are four cameras on the back. The primary camera has a 48-megapixel sensor.

The new Lenovo Z6 Pro does not have a sliding mechanism unlike its predecessor. As a result, another notch had to be made in the screen to accommodate the 32-megapixel front camera. Except for the notch, the screen is similar to that of the Z5 Pro. It is a 6.4″ OLED screen with a ratio of 19.5:9 and a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels. The fingerprint scanner is behind the screen.

There are four cameras on the back of the Z6 Pro. The top camera consists of a 16-megapixel sensor with a wide-angle lens. Below that is the primary camera with a 48-megapixel sensor and an f/1.8 lens. The third camera is an 8-megapixel sensor with telephoto lens and the fourth is a 2-megapixel camera that Lenovo says is used for “improvements” in video recording.

Lenovo puts a Snapdragon 855-soc in the device and there are variants with 6GB, 8GB or 12GB ram. The working memory is combined with 128GB, 256GB or 512GB flash memory. The storage space can be expanded with a micro SD card in all versions.

The phone measures 157.5×74.6×8.7mm and weighs 185 grams. This makes the new model a bit thinner and lighter than its predecessor; it was 9.3mm thick and weighed 210 grams. The Z6 Pro has a larger battery, with a capacity of 4000mAh. That was 3350mAh with the predecessor. Lenovo puts Android 9 with its ZUI 11 shell on the device.

Lenovo will release the Z6 Pro in China at the end of April for a price starting at 2899 Yuan. That is converted about 385 euros and buyers get the version with 6GB ram and 128GB flash storage for that money. The version with 12GB ram and 512GB flash memory costs 4799 yuan, converted about 635 euros. The device will probably not be released in the Benelux, the predecessor has not appeared here either.
