Lenovo will release 5 “Moto C Plus with 4000mAh battery at the beginning of June for 119 euros
Lenovo has announced that the Moto C Plus budget smartphone will be released in the Benelux in the first week of June for a price of 119 euros. The device has a 5 “screen, a quad-core soc from MediaTek and a battery with a capacity of 4000 mAh.
The Moto C Plus gets a resolution of 1280×720 pixels and a 64-bit soc from MediaTek with four cores that run at a speed of 1.3GHz. It is the MT 6737-soc with a Mali T720 GPU. The 4000mAh battery is removable and, in combination with the low resolution, will probably provide a long battery life. The device comes with Android 7.0 Nougat.
The device has two SIM card slots and, depending on the version, gets 1GB or 2GB ram. The internal storage capacity is 16GB, which can be expanded with a micro-SD card of up to 32GB. On the back is an eight-megapixel camera and the front camera has a two-megapixel resolution. The dimensions are 144×72.3x10mm and the device weighs 162 grams.
Two variants of the cheaper Moto C will also be released. However, these are not available in the Benelux. The Moto C will have a resolution of 854×480 pixels. The variant that supports 4G will receive a 64bit soc from Mediatek with four cores that run at a speed of 1.1GHz.
The variant that does not support 4G will receive a 32-bit soc from Mediatek, the MT6580 with four cores that run at a speed of 1.3Ghz. The GPU is a Mali400. Both variants come with Android 7.0, have 1GB of RAM and have 8GB of internal storage memory, which can be expanded with a microSD card. The versions get a 2350mAh battery, with the 3g variant going to cost 89 euros and the 4g variant 99 euros.
The Moto C models are positioned below the devices in the Moto G and E series. The Moto C Plus will be available in Europe in red, gold and black. According to a spokesperson, only a black and a white variant of the Moto C Plus appear in the Benelux.
