Lenovo says it will continue to sell Windows tablets with a screen diagonal of less than 10″. Earlier, a company spokesperson said that there was little interest in such small tablets in the United States.

The manufacturer made this known in a statement on its website. In it, it contradicts previous reports that Lenovo would stop selling small Windows tablets in the United States. However, these messages were based on statements from a company spokesperson who said there was a lack of interest for Windows tablets smaller than 10″ and that operating Windows on tablets 10″ and larger is easier.

According to Lenovo, it has not stopped selling its Miix 2 tablet with 8″ screen, but the device is simply sold out in the United States. The company does indicate that it has stopped selling the Thinkpad 8. Lenovo states will continue to sell 8″ tablets in the United States, but does not currently have any models actually being sold.

Earlier, the Lenovo spokesperson indicated that releasing Windows tablets with a diagonal of less than 10 “is “not useful”. However, the interest in small Windows tablets differs per country, according to the spokesperson.
