Lenovo releases ThinkPad laptops with Intel and AMD Ryzen Pro processors
Lenovo has announced new ThinkPad models in the T, X and L series. The manufacturer markets variants with Intel and AMD processors. AMD is all about Ryzen Pro 4000 Mobile chips.
The new ThinkPads support wake-on-voice and Wi-Fi 6, or 802.11ax. In addition, an lte cat16 modem for wireless internet is optionally available on the T and X models with Intel. Lenovo offers various configurations, including with OLED screens and LCDs with UHD resolution.
The Intel processors are of the tenth generation and based on the business vPro platform. The AMD processors are the Pro versions of the AMD Ryzen Mobile 4000 chips announced at the beginning of this year. Not all new ThinkPads come in AMD versions: the T15 with 15.6 “screen only comes on the market with an Intel chip and this also applies to the X13 Yoga with folding screen. models are awaited: these will be released in June while the Intel ThinkPads will be released in May.
