Lenovo releases 15.6″ laptop with full HD resolution and AMD GPU
Lenovo has announced the Z51, a laptop that features a 15.6-inch full-HD display and an optional AMD R9-M375 GPU. In addition, the Chinese manufacturer will introduce the Ideapad 100, an entry-level model based on a Baytrail -M CPU and your choice of a 14″ or 15″ screen.
The Z51 is available with a Core i3, i5 or i7 CPU from the Broadwell line. The laptop can contain a maximum of 16GB of RAM. Lenovo supplies a 1TB hybrid drive with the Z51, which is combined with 8GB of flash memory. An AMD R9-M375 GPU can optionally be selected for the graphics, although the Intel GPU integrated in the processor can also be used.
The 15.6″ screen offers a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and has a specified screen brightness of 200cd/m². The 2.26kg heavy laptop also offers Bluetooth 4.0, 802.11ac WiFi and a 41Wh battery, which allows it to run for approximately 4 hours. Furthermore, the laptop contains two USB 3.0, a USB 2.0, a gigabit Ethernet and a VGA connection, as well as HDMI out and a card reader.The Z51 will be available from mid-June with a suggested retail price of 549 euros .
Lenovo also introduces a new entry-level laptop, the Ideapad 100. This can be equipped with an Intel Baytrail-M N3540 processor. The laptop is available with a 14″ or 15″ screen, but the resolution is limited to 1366×768 pixels. A 500GB hard drive or 128GB SSD can optionally be placed in the system, while a maximum of 8GB RAM is possible. The 14″ version will cost 279 euros, while the 15″ version is two tens more expensive. Both laptops will hit the market in mid-June.
